I LOVE playing rockin' songs on KHITS in the morning 'cause when I'm crankin' up the studio speakers (...and they are SA-weet!)...I visualize you rollin' down the highway 'equally cranked'! I've been up and down the dial in St. Louis since the mid 80's doing news anchor and talk show host gigs on the AM band. On FM I've been "Rockin' Ricky" (still am!), part of Chase and Sanborn , one of the brothers of The Sanborn Brothers,and the music stations ran the gamut, rock, country, oldies, soft rock, smooth jazz...and here at "The Rock Wall of Emmis" where I'm havin' a blast! This place rocks!

USA Today's headline is "Led Zeppelin Still Soars in 'Celebration'. Today's article gives a glowing review of the movie version of Zep's one-off reunion show that took place 5 years ago. This video has the band announcing two shows in London in november followed by two shows near New York (in Newark, NJ) on December 13th and December 15th. The December 15th show will also be shown live on pay-per-view called "One More Shot".
These shows mark the first time in five years that The Stones will play together live and so far there is no indication that they're planning a wider tour in 2013.

Here 'tis...the first new Rolling Stones song in 7 years, released ahead of their career spanning greatest hits collection which comes out in November. "Doom and Gloom" is one of two new songs recorded by the band in Paris this past summer which will be included in the collection. After listening to "Doom and Gloom" several times now, LOUD!, it has me aching for a full length Stones release.
