The full album of "New" comes out October 15th. Meanwhile, here's the title track which McCartney released today--55 years to the day after he and John Lennon playing as "The Quarrymen" asked George Harrison to join the band...and 47 years to the day since The Beatles played their last concert together at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. Paul McCartney wants to play Candlestick Park again after the 49'rs play their final game there as the stadium is slated to be torn down to make room for a shopping mall in 2014. http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10582868[email protected] (Rick Sanborn)http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10582868Thu, 29 Aug 2013 12:48:06 GMTBreaking (news) BadSeems like Bryan Cranston will NOT be Lex Luthor in the "Man Of Steel" Superman/Batman movie. MSN rants about the spreading of that news being 'faster than a speeding bullet' and without merit. http://on-msn.com/1fj7Ut0 but meanwhile, a YouTube poster named SoylentBrak1 already put together a 'what if' trailer by masterfully splicing scenes together from "Breaking Bad", "The Dark Knight", "Man Of Steel" and "Daredevil" and other sources. It looks like it would be a pretty good movie, if you believe the fake trailer! http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10582497[email protected] (Rick Sanborn)http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10582497Wed, 28 Aug 2013 15:40:57 GMTAll Star Freddie Mercury Tribute ConcertThe original 1992 concert was broadcast live via t-v and radio to 76 countries around the globe hitting an estimated audience of more than 1 billion! (I like to think that John Lennon would smile at that veiled reference to his famous 'religion' statement). The actors/musicians who have managed to nail every nuance of speech and every note of your favorite Beatles songs are returning to the Fabulous Fox in November. Hitting the road after their successful run on Broadway, this multi-media concert promises new songs in the 2013 rendition which follows the Fab Four from the beginning of Beatlemania up thru the Beatles Abbey Road daze. There will only be 3 performances, 8p.m. on Friday November 15th and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday November 16th. If you know a teacher you might want to turn them on to this because I think it's a clever way to introduce students to Shakespeare using the familiar story of 'what happened in a galaxy far, far away'! It's also a trip for any Star Wars fan so check it out.http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10580895[email protected] (Rick Sanborn)http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10580895Fri, 23 Aug 2013 11:46:38 GMTInterview With Founding Members of TotoThe group is celebrating their 35th anniversay and are in town Tuesday night for a show at the River City Casino. Here's Peter Criss performing the song with a full symphony orchestra and it's cool to see those musicians getting into the KISS spirit, just as much as the appreciative audience members do...and don't you think the lead violinist girl resembles Gene Simmons?! http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10579299[email protected] (Rick Sanborn)http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10579299Mon, 19 Aug 2013 14:14:50 GMTI'm Hearing The Song By War In My Head...'Why Can't We Be Friends"Follow the link and "Friend" me on Facebook!! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rick-Sanborn-Khits96/145085542221803?ref=ts&fref=ts I'm constantly posting some cool rock videos, music news, movie info and pop culture thingys you might like to share.http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10556328[email protected] (Rick Sanborn)http://www.k-hits.com/ricksanborn/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10556328Fri, 16 Aug 2013 15:03:36 GMTJoin Me Tonight @ A Stones Tribute Show!I saw Street Fighting Band, the Rolling Stones tribute band, for the 1st time at the Chesterfield Amphitheater and I think you can tell from my ear-to-ear grin that I enjoyed it thoroughly!
