AEROSMITH TOUR OPENER DISRUPTED BY SEVERE WEATHER

The opening date of Aerosmith's summer tour was postponed by severe weather, including intense lightning, on Wednesday night (June 10th) in Maryland Heights, Missouri, according to KTVI-TV. The show was halted for about an hour, with police citing safety concerns for the 16,000 people attending the outdoor gig. Opening act 3 Doors Down went on before their scheduled start time in order to get their portion of the show completed early in case concertgoers were forced to leave the venue.

A number of attendees left for good during the delay, but Aerosmith eventually did come onstage and perform a 16-song set featuring their classic 1975 album, Toys In The Attic, in its entirety save for closing song "You See Me Crying."

Aerosmith is now joined by ZZ Top on the trek.

Guitarist Brad Whitford is sitting out at least part of the trip while he recovers from an undisclosed surgery. His temporary replacement is Bobby Schneck.

Aerosmith's opening night set list was:
"Monkey On My Back"
"Cryin'"
"Love In An Elevator"
"Dream On"
"Combination"
"Toys In The Attic"
"Uncle Salty"
"Adam's Apple"
"Walk This Way"
"Big Ten Inch Record"
"Sweet Emotion"
"No More No More"
