The Rolling Stones officially denied that an upcoming appearance at Britain's 2013 Glastonbury Festival would mark their final gig. According to The Daily Mirror, an unnamed "insider" claimed that the band is planning a handful of gigs leading up to their career swan song at the legendary festival. The Stones responded via their Twitter account posting: "Every year the Rolling Stones are asked to play this UK festival. . . but playing Glastonbury is not in our plans."
While the Stones haven't recorded in over six years, Mick Jagger has kept busy with various projects -- including his recent SuperHeavy side group. He told us that -- for better or worse -- he's always kept his ears on the pulse of what's going down on the street and in the clubs: "You think you've invented some great new style (laughs) which someone's done five years ago. They say, 'Oh well, sorry, well, that's been done to death!' 'Oh, 'thought that was new.' 'No.' That's a joke, but that can happen, y'know? I'm not saying you have to be a slave, I don't think you need to be a slave to new things, necessarily, but in pop music, y'know, I think it's good to keep your ear on the ground, some."
