Coming on July 13th is Crosby, Stills, & Nash's first new live collection in over 20 years. The new CD/DVD set, CSN 2012, includes selections from the group's legendary career -- including new the new tracks "Radio" and "Almost Gone," classics such as the rarely-played "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," and their cover of Bob Dylan's "Girl From North Country." The DVD -- which is their first live collection since 1991's Crosby, Stills & Nash's The Acoustic Concert -- also features a new, exclusive interviews with David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash, along with a behind the scenes look at the group on tour.
Graham Nash told us that he Crosby and Stephen Stills were acutely aware of the quality of their work from even before the Crosby, Stills & Nash album was recorded: "The bands that we came from -- The Byrds in Crosby's case, and the Buffalo Springfield in Stephen's case, and the Hollies in my case -- were fine harmony bands. The Byrds were usually two-part, modaled with Crosby influence, and stuff -- strange harmonies, and the Springfield were a great harmony band, of course -- and obviously the Hollies were a fine harmony band. So we knew what we were talkin' about, 'y'know? But when we did that first song with Stephen, 'You Don't Have To Cry' -- we really realized, I mean, halfway through that song, the first time we ever sang it, we knew that this was something very different."
