The Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge is approximately 2,800 feet long. The main span, the portion between the two towers is 1,500 feet long. That makes it the third longest in the United States. The bridge cost 229.5 Million to build and was opened on February 8, 2014. Before the bridge was officially open to vehicle traffic, the public were invited to walk the bridge and attend the ribbon cutting.
