Hello, herpes sufferers.

How did baby Jade the elephant at the Zoo get herpes?

JC’s college campus showed Deep Throat in “Arts Appreciation Week.”

Laurie had an audition yesterday to play a hot redhead in an instructional video. We hope she gets the part.

Don’t make JC any peanut butter & raisin cookies - he won’t eat them.

National Retail Foundation says Americans will spend $5.3 billion on roses. But women don’t necessarily want flowers. They want these things more than flowers: a romantic dinner (22%), an intimate love note (22%) & jewelry (28%). Laurie would put household chores & then the “dirty, dirty” as her top romantic items.

Yahoo! says don’t date the rebound guy, the disappearing guy, the slick guy, the rude guy, the grabby guy & last year’s guy.

The term “croup” does not refer to a single illness, but rather a group of conditions involving inflammation of the upper airway that leads to a cough that sounds like a bark, particularly when a child is crying. Clicky for more.

Big Deal: John’s “Cardinal Crew” teevee show has been renewed for the 2009 season.

Speaking of the teevee, we have been making fun of local news for the past couple days, but nothing compares to this from Hartford, CT:

Tora! Tora! Tora! is a 1970 American-Japanese film that dramatizes the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. I left out the American part, but not because I hate America. (BtW AMC is showing it Sunday, 2.22 at 3:45pm.)

John has never played golf at Pebble Beach, while JC did the second time he ever played the game.

The top-grossing movies of all time when adjusted for inflation (The Dark Knight & Titanic aren’t even in the top 10):

Dave Gerardi from Live Nation came in to talk about the upcoming concert season. Dave started as in intern at the Hearnes Center in Columbia. He then took a job as the advance person for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

He told us about trying to get good concert tickets. He told us the story of how more than a million people tried to get a 100,000 Phish tickets.

The reason Kansas City or Milwaukee seem to get tours that don’t come to Saint Louis is because they have brand new arenas. So they are going through a honeymoon period.

This year, to get tickets to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater go to www.LiveNation.com.

What’s the difference between SJU & SJO?

From the BBC, Samantha Lazzaris was the victim of a tour operator's error. When she went on vacation, her flight landed safely & she hailed a cab. But when she gave the driver the name of her hotel he laughed and said: "This is not Costa Rica. It's Puerto Rico."

Having ended up 1,300 miles away from her intended holiday destination, she spent a night in a Miami airport as she desperately tried to get to the right part of Central America.

Ms. Lazzaris' problem stemmed from an error made by holiday giant Thomas Cook, where a member of staff had used the booking code for San Juan (SJU), Puerto Rico, instead of San Jose (SJO), capital of Costa Rica. Clicky for more.

Today we gave away 2nd row James Taylor tickets. Tomorrow: Front Row!

The JoY was Nick Di Paolo from the Pam Anderson Roast. The 3fA featured Neil Young. The Vault was birthday boy Michael McDonald's version of “Always Something There to Remind Me” recorded when he was 16 years old. Finally, Barbie was released on this date in 1959. She cost $3.

Don't Do Anything Stupid,
Carl The Intern
