RANDOM RICK-NESS
I try to find ‘unique’ gifts to give certain people during the holidays..call ‘em ‘gag’ gifts if ya want. To me, the mascot of Burger King is a ‘gagger’ (it creeps me out, actually!)… so I tried to order the pillow case that featured the face of The King. According to this news report about 5,000 people now own this pillowcase but they’re the ‘lucky ones’, because you can’t get ‘em anymore. Bummer, shoulda started my gag gift searching a little earlier I guess. Click HERE

Morning Show Musings for Monday, December 6th
Spiderman is sooo jealous... Federal investigators have cast their web around an international spider dealer. A 37-year-old German dude named Sven Koppler was arrested in L.A. last week for allegedly MAILING hundreds of live tarantulas to customers in the U.S. Agents intercepted a package containing about 300 of the furry little guys months ago and got suspicious...and creeped out. Recently they intercepted a second package with 250 of them. Why would Sven do it? Da money!! Authorities believe he's earned about 300 thousand bucks for his tarantulas. Click HERE

Ben Roethlisberger had a tough day yesterday but still got a 13-10 win over the Ravens. He had his nose broken in the first quarter but finished the game with 253 yards, a TD and a pick on 22-of-38 passing.

The performers from the latest edition of the "Experience Hendrix" tour (like Aerosmith's rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford, bassist Billy Cox, guitarist Jonny Lang and drummer Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughn's Double Trouble) will be performing Jimi's "Fire" tonight on NBC's "Tonight Show." The band is promoting the newly released five-disc career-spanning Hendrix collection that Rick and his garbage disposal repairman just love! Here's more info on "West Coast Seattle Boy: The Jimi Hendrix Anthology:"
Singer Scott McKenzie, best known for his 1967 hit "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)," has been hospitalized for a month now, suffering from a rare illness that doctors believe he contracted thanks to - are ya ready? - his flu shot. Guillaume-Barre Syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the nervous system and can result in some paralysis. It affects only one or two people per 100,000.
I couldn't find additional info on his website, but here it is if you'd like to keep tabs on him: Click HERE
