The Most Important Things

In this blog my main idea is that we need to control our technology rather than have it control us.  The ultimate goal is to learn that some of the best experiences in life, true inspiration, do not come from technology. What then, are these things, and how do we go about getting them?
The most important thing to understand is that the best things in life aren’t things.

The most important things in life are feelings. If you would seriously consider this for a moment you may realize that this idea is so obvious. What good is it to have every material object you could ever want if you are still unhappy?  What good is it if you achieve every goal that you set for yourself and you are still not satisfied?

The history of the world is filled with the stories of those who rose to amazing heights, achieved great things, yet were still unhappy. We see the modern day media star that has become so famous and rich and yet is left wondering; “Is this all there is? Why am I not completely happy?”

The quick answer to this is that they made the simple and common mistake of thinking the road to love and happiness was through acquisition of wealth and power. This is one of the biggest misconceptions of modern life. The good thing is that I see definite signs that more and more people are coming to this realization.

You experience love, appreciation, happiness, satisfaction, when you are true to your own nature. You experience fear, anger, frustration, illness when you are not.  In fact, fear, anger, frustration and illness are the warning signs that you are not paying attention to your true nature and are moving away from it.

The question then becomes; “What is my true nature? What am I supposed to do in life?”  The answer to these questions can only be answered only by your self.  Everyone is different. Everyone is on a different path. The answers to these and other very important questions in life come through introspection. I am very aware that some people are uncomfortable with introspection and I am very aware that some people are so wired into their media that they have little or no time for it, don’t  now how to do it, or even know what introspection is.

Giving attention to how you think is the essence of this blog and life itself. You cannot achieve success in this if you cannot be comfortable away from your technology.

The great thing about this is that there is lots of help out there! Lots of it can come from technology! (Incommunicado is not against technology, but for its best usage!)

If any of this makes any sense to you and you want to pursue it, all you have to do is have the intent to learn. This blog is a good place to start and maintain your quest for ultimate satisfaction and meaning to your life!
