Ali Larter and her writer/actor husband Hayes MacArthur welcomed their first child earlier this week. A rep for the actress confirmed to PEOPLE that the baby, reportedly named Theodore Hayes, was born on the morning of December 20.

 

During her pregnancy, Larter, 34, had told PEOPLE that expecting a child had already changed her priorities. She had said, "To feel this life growing inside of me grounds me every day and really puts things into perspective about what's important in life. It really is your health and your family."
