Cynthia Nixon is opening up about her lesbian relationship, telling The Advocate that her fiance is "like a short man with boobs." The Sex and the City star admitted that she was initially advised to keep her sexuality a secret, until she hired an openly gay publicist several years ago and confirmed her relationship with Christine Marinoni.

Nixon said of Marinoni, who she's been with for about six years, "A lot of what I love about her is her butchness. I'm not saying I fell in love with her in a sexually neutral way. I love her sexuality -- it's a big part of what I love about her -- but I feel like it was her."

She also said that her two children from her relationship with Danny Mozes have adapted to her life with Marinoni. Nixon explained, "(My son's) teachers were just so great about it, because they were the first people that started referring to 'Charlie's moms,' which is so lovely, and we really hadn't done that yet. So Charlie came home one day and he said to Marinoni, 'You're my mommy too!'"
