A producer for CBS's Survivor is reportedly a suspect in his wife's murder. The Associated Press reports that Bruce Beresford-Redman was detained in Mexico after his missing wife's body was found on Thursday (April 8th) in a sewer near the Cancun resort where they was staying.

Beresford-Redman reported his wife Monica missing earlier in the week, claiming that she failed to return from a shopping trip on Monday (April 5th). He told KCAL-TV in Los Angeles on Wednesday, "I'm very hopeful someone will find my wife very soon. She still hasn't been located and we're looking."

Media reports in Mexico said that Monica had been strangled, but the cause of death has not been confirmed. The Associated Press reports that a witness saw the couple arguing at their hotel on Sunday.

Bruce Beresford-Redman has been nominated for three Emmy Awards. Besides Survivor, he worked on Pimp My Ride and The Restaurant.
