Steve Carell and Tina Fey may be appearing together on the big screen in Date Night, but the sitcom stars won't be sharing any television time together, even though both of their shows air on NBC. When asked about the possibility of a 30 Rock-The Office cross-over, Carell told us, "We talked about it. There's no way I think that would ever work because our shows sort of exist in different realities and I don't think a crossover would quite make sense."
Even though Date Night did not lead to an NBC collaboration, it is responsible for forging a friendship between the two mega-comedians. Steve told us, "It was not only exciting to work with her and laugh every day, but we became good friends so that was a big part of it."
Given the buzz surrounding the movie, Steve says that he has lofty expectations for the business it will do at the box office this weekend. He predicted, "It will make over one million dollars. I'm really bullish about that."
