IS JENNIFER ANISTON'S MOVIE CAREER OVER?

4/2/2010

The relatively disappointing box office performance of The Bounty Hunter has led critics to declare that Jennifer Aniston has "aged out" and "needs a wake up call." The Bounty Hunter has grossed $38.4 million in ten days -- which marks a slight improvement on 2009's Love Happens, which made less than $23 million overall.

An anonymous film critic told the New York Post, "Aniston just can't play the good friend anymore. She's aged out, no matter the yoga and the highlights. She just can't do America's sweetheart next door. She needs a big wake-up call." The critic added that Aniston's "taste in men" is "totally off . . . She's missing a common-sense gene."

A film producer noted that, "It's hard for any TV stars to make the transition to movies. Certainly no one else from Friends made it."
