Come try out Lagniappe’s for a little something extra. This cozy Soulard family-owned restaurant offers food, drinks, live music and service that certainly reinforce this theme.
From Get Out: Lagniappe’s is one of Soulard’s hidden jewels. It’s overall charm is reminiscent of the affable neighborhood eateries that are tucked away in New Orleans’ lower Garden District. The menu is as solid as its wine list, and the specialty drinks are as varied as the daily blackboard specials. The eatery treats dinner patrons to one of a dozen daily “lagniappes” in the form of a complimentary sample of one of the restaurant’s appetizers while you wait for your meal. It could be anything from a deep-fried artichoke heart to a “Hoppin’ John”, made of black-eyed peas, hominy and Andouille sausage.
Owners Bill and Brenda welcome you to join them and share the New Orleans tradition of dining in a relaxed and casual environment, emphasizing the festive enjoyment of good food and pleasant company.
